Washington D.C.

Shane and I were able to get away for a few days and spend some time in D.C. Shane had some business meetings, but I must admit it was nice to get away from everything for a couple of days. We were able to see some of the sights we had not seen before and I was able to walk around at my own pace and do some sight seeing.
I love Washington and the people are as much fun to watch as the sights sometimes. We were close to Union Station (a 5 minute walk) so we were also very close to the capital. I think the highlight of my trip was when a man was telling his son that the President lived in the Capital, I corrected him and pointed them in the direction of the White House. If any of you know my sense of direction you will know how hard that can be for me. I had just come from the White House, so I was feeling very confident.

I was nice to come home I love to travel, but after landing late in Chicago, spending 20 minutes running to catch my connection which was on the other side of the airport, I was very happy to see Shane in Denver.

I think I am ready to go to the South, try out some y'alls now.

Sounds like FUN! It seems like everyone is traveling lately... except me! You know, we're on the verge of 'the South'...

Hey Kristin-

It has many months. How is Uncle Brent? I think of your family often. We have been so very busy with LIFE-as everyone is. I miss you. I hope you guys are well.

I absolutely LOVE to travel and I LOVE Washington D.C. I think that is kind of sad that the man didn't now where the President lived. Every American should visit D.C. at least once! (Maybe it was his first time??) :D
