My dad

Shane and I went to Idaho to pick up Makaila who had spent a week with my parents. I walked in my childhood home and was told my dad had prostate cancer. (My dad is the handsome devil sitting on the far right, next to my grandma Johnson) Our family is holding up pretty well. It was a shock, and not something you ever want to hear them say about your dad. My family is amazing. We are all strong. We will make it though this. My dad is amazing he is the type of person you wish everyone knew. He always says the right thing at the right time. Whenever there is a crisis, we would always call dad. I love my dad more than anything and can't even begin to imagine what it would be like for him to have to go through this. The Lord is going to take care of him. There have been fasts and prayers said for him that I am sure we are not even aware of. I love you dad and right now I feel calm about things, everything will work out. We love you and I am proud to call you Dad.

What an awesome family picture! You do have a strong family and you will all make it through this trial. Uncle Brent is an amazing man and Heavenly Father is watching out for him and all your family. We send our love to all of you during this time. Just talked to my dad today and he is for sure going to go in for testing for his prostate and other things. It is important that he does that. Love to you all! Hope all goes well in Utah for him.

Kristin-

You are right, there are thoughts and prayers for Uncle Brent, that you are unaware of. Aunt Lisa was in the midst of a fast, that our stake is doing and she said she fasted extra for him. Our prayers are with him, and I will be putting his name on the prayer roll in the temple when I go this week. Thanks for always keeping in touch, it's good to hear from you.

Take care. Remember who's in charge.
