Guess who's coming to town?

And it ain't Santa. I received the best gift in the mail TWO tickets to the
March 30th, Michael Buble concert at the Pepsi Center. And they are great
seats. I get to see and hear my favorite crooner up close and personal. Now the only problem I have is waiting clear until March to go. I haven't been this excited about a concert since my college friends and I took off and headed to see Aerosmith. We thought we were such rebels. Just look how far I have come. I don't think they will have a mosh pit at this concert.

I am going to dress up and even use my jazz hands and Broadway arms. I am really good at jazz hands in the kitchen singing along with him on my i-pod. We will see what people think of it at the concert. The countdown has begun. 100 days and counting.....

A Blue Christmas

We are having a Blue Christmas at our house. Our tree is finally up. The decorations are out. The Christmas music is playing. The piano students are giddily playing Christmas songs. We have even been to Makaila's Christmas orchestra concert. But sadly Johnny Mathis is missing. I do have the C.D. case, I however do not have the C.D.
I can remember as a child laying on the couch and listening to the record over and over until I was worried it would wear out. I can sing each song word for word. I know how long to hold each and every note. When to come in on each song, and if I hear just a few notes I know it is a Johnny Mathis, Christmas song. I must say I feel like a child who just had his bike stolen. I am still holding out some hope. I am giving it until maybe tomorrow and then I might have to get another one. I feel all sad inside knowing that case is empty.

Laziness

I have decided I want a lazy day with no responsiblities.....I want someone to come clean my house, drive me around, cook for me and make all my decisions. They could even teach my piano lessons for a week.

I just want to sit around and read for a week. Any thing I want for a week. I have about decided this is a sign of getting old. I even want a personal shopper for grocery's and clothing. Or is this simply called laziness.

Washington D.C.

Shane and I were able to get away for a few days and spend some time in D.C. Shane had some business meetings, but I must admit it was nice to get away from everything for a couple of days. We were able to see some of the sights we had not seen before and I was able to walk around at my own pace and do some sight seeing.
I love Washington and the people are as much fun to watch as the sights sometimes. We were close to Union Station (a 5 minute walk) so we were also very close to the capital. I think the highlight of my trip was when a man was telling his son that the President lived in the Capital, I corrected him and pointed them in the direction of the White House. If any of you know my sense of direction you will know how hard that can be for me. I had just come from the White House, so I was feeling very confident.

I was nice to come home I love to travel, but after landing late in Chicago, spending 20 minutes running to catch my connection which was on the other side of the airport, I was very happy to see Shane in Denver.

I think I am ready to go to the South, try out some y'alls now.
